After long deliberations that started last century, the County of Maui finally approved the gates for the Wailea Resort. The Wailea Community Association (WCA) came up with a detailed plan, where the current individual neighborhood gates will be moved and utilized to benefit the entire resort community. The project is expected to be completed before the end of the year 2021.

The eight new gate locations will include both entrances to Maui Meadows, across the fire station by Kanani Wailea, at the bottom of the road by Papali Wailea, at the top of the road by the Hotel Wailea, at the 4-way crossing by Makalii At Wailea, as well as next to the Polo Beach Club. Gate number eight will be at the bottom of Kilohana Drive by Keawakapu Beach, although it's not yet clear if South Kihei Road will be completely blocked off to the public or not.

Wow! A totally crazy idea?!! Of course it is. It's totally silly!

According to Wikipedia, "April Fools' Day or April Fool's Day is an annual custom on April 1st consisting of practical jokes and hoaxes. Jokesters often expose their actions by shouting 'April Fools!' at the recipient. Mass media can be involved in these pranks, which may be revealed as such the following day."

We can all use a good laugh or at least a smile these days! Of course the idea is complete nonsense. But it got you here, reading this post. During this time and age, Maui real estate marketing often is about new ideas. Thinking out of the box, how it's called. I have those ideas and look forward to speaking with you! Aloha from VW on Maui.
